Jose Mourinho is set for another unhappy return to Stamford Bridge this weekend.
That is the verdict of Mirror Football columnist Robbie Savage who has predicted Chelsea will beat Manchester United in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.
Mourinho remains under pressure following United’s worst ever start to a Premier League season.
But a dramatic 3-2 victory over Newcastle before the international break offered him some respite.
Should United suffer a collapse at Chelsea, however, the Portuguese will find himself under yet more scrutiny.Savage reckons Maurizio Sarri will protect his unbeaten record, backing the Blues to run out 3-1 winners.
If that happens, Chelsea will take the outright lead at the top of the table, with champions and current leaders (albeit on superior goal difference) Manchester City not in action until 3 pm and Liverpool playing later in the day at 5.30pm.
Pep Guardiola’s City host Burnley, who have goalkeeper Joe Hart returning to the Etihad Stadium for the first time.
Liverpool, meanwhile, travel to Huddersfield in the evening kick-off on Saturday.
And Savage, who fronts Saturday Morning Savage on BT Sport and the Radio 5Live 606 phone-in, believes Jurgen Klopp will pile the misery on his form No.2 David Wagner with the Reds to remain undefeated following a 3-0 win.
Elsewhere, former Wales international Savage reckons Tottenham will come out on top in their London derby against West Ham.
And on the south coast, he is tipping Bournemouth to maintain their stunning start to the campaign with a win over Southampton.
Cardiff are yet to pick up a victory and Savage thinks the wait will go on for Neil Warnock’s men, predicting they will be held in a 2-2 draw with fellow new boys Fulham.
But he does tip one newly-promoted side to triumph with Wolves backed to beat Watford 2-1 at Molineux.
