‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Midnight Release Locations: Where to Find Your Own Physical Copy
If you want your copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 as early as possible, you’re going to want to go to one of two stores: GameStop or Target. Both companies will start selling copies of Red Dead 2at 9 p.m. local time tonight. That should give you enough time to get home and get started before heading off to bed.
Which store you should choose also depends on the perks you want with your purchase. If you are also in the market for a new Xbox, you’ll definitely want to go to GameStop. Buying a copy ofRed Dead Redemption 2 knocks $100 off the purchase of any new Xbox One, One S or One X from Oct. 25 to Nov. 3. If you don’t want a new Xbox One, Target has a set of neat pins to hand out with each copy of the game sold.
If you want to check out GameStop or Target, be sure to find your nearest store and call ahead to make sure the location is open and plans to take part in the early release event. The Target store locator is here and the GameStop store locator is here.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available at other stores as well, including Walmart and Best Buy. Neither retailer has announced plans to begin Red Dead Redemption 2 sales at 9 p.m. Thursday, though it’s likely the game will be available at midnight. Be sure to call your local stores ahead of time for more information.
We do know there is no store-exclusive DLC available, so unless you want a new Xbox or some pins, it really doesn’t matter where you’re buying your copy. If you go the download route, preloading is available right now on PS4 and Xbox One.
