An acrobat of Circo del Sol died this Saturday night when he was performing a show in the city of Tampa, Florida, the company said in a statement .
Yann Arnaud , a veteran specialist, made a high-altitude aerial number fastened with straps when, for reasons that are unknown, fell into the void, detailed in the note.
Immediately after, the emergency services went to help the victim, who was taken to the nearest hospital , where he finally died. As a result of this fatal accident, the last two VOLTA performances scheduled in the city of Tampa for this Sunday were suspended.
“The great Circo del Sol family is in shock and devastated by this tragedy, Yann had been with us for more than 15 years and was loved by all those who had the opportunity to meet him,” the company said.
They also added that “in the coming days and weeks” they will focus “on supporting Yann’s family and our workers, especially the VOLTA team, as we all go through these difficult moments together .”
